there is a science behind the behaviors associated with choosing a mating partner.  some of the variables that are associated with such attraction maybe different depending on the sexual identity of the partner.  men and women may look for certain variables pertaining to physicality, character, compatibility and much more. many of these variables are associated with primal instincts involving procreation.  from genetics to survival we choose our partners from a combination of variables and attributes to increase the continuation of our species.
